Adelina Sakun won bronze at the UCI Junior Track World Championships
Belarusian cyclist Adelina Sakun took third place in the omnium at the UCI Junior Track World Championships, which took place in Luoyang, China.
Sakun successfully competed in all omnium disciplines (scratch, tempo, elimination race) and retained a prize position in the points race. The Belarusian, who has been competing for Mogilev region and Minsk Cycling Club throughout the season, has 108 points. Gold went to the British Kat Ferguson, silver to the Australian Nicole Duncan.
It should be noted that omnium is an Olympic track cycling event.
Adelina Sakun also finished eighth in the scratch, 15th in the points race and 23rd in the elimination race.
