Meeting of Belarusian Cycling Federation Executive Committee Bureau

On Tuesday, February 6, a meeting of the Belarusian Cycling Federation Executive Committee Bureau was held, the agenda of which included the issue of formation of the coaching staff of the national team in the main areas.

The ordinary Bureau was convened on behalf of the Ministry of Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Belarus, which identified priority areas and set the federation the task of nominating four senior coaches for approval by the Belarusian Cycling Federation Executive Committee.

The meeting of the Belarusian Cycling Federation Executive Committee Bureau was attended by the Chairwoman of the Belarusian Cycling Federation Natallia Tsylinskaya, the Deputy Chairmen of the Belarusian Cycling Federation Mikalai Ladutska and Mikhail Dvariakou, the Director of Minsk Cycling Club Aleksei Ivanov, the member of the Belarusian Cycling Federation Executive Committee Anatol Barysevich, the Chairman of the Trainers Council Uladzimir Murauski, the member of the Belarusian Cycling Federation Executive Committee, Olympic champion Valery Movchan, as well as invited guests – Executive Director of the Belarusian Cycling Federation Sergei Butrim and Director of the Republican Center of Olympic Training for Cycling and Ice Sports, member of the Executive Committee of the Belarusian Cycling Federation Dzmitry Talkachou.

A report was heard from Uladzimir Murauski, who voiced the proposal of the Trainers Council to consider road and track disciplines as priorities and recommended the following candidates for the position of senior trainers: Aliaksandr Kuchynski – men (road), Alexei Markov – men (track), Liubou Niamkova - women (highway), Tatsiana Sharakova - women (track).

Director of the Republican Center of Olympic Training for Cycling and Ice Sports Dzmitry Talkachou support the nomination of Tatsiana Sharakova and Liubou Niamkova. But at the same time, he proposed not to transfer Niamkova to the position of senior trainer, but to leave her as a trainer at the RCOT. For the men's section, he nominated a candidacy of Vasil Kiryenka for the position of senior trainer, who, together with trainer Hardzei Tsishchanka, will be in charge for the track and road cycling. At the same time, Dzmitry Talkachou proposed to allocate sprint as a separate discipline and assign him the position of senior trainer.

The Bureau decided to bring these issues to a meeting of the extended active core of the federation with the invitation of representatives of the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Belarus, the Ministry of Sports of the Republic of Belarus and other interested parties.
